A dog once hung seventeen items of washing in a minute.

Dad's basket, since Tuesday.

Dad's plan: the cricket first, then a nap, then another nap.

Hans: Washing is like stew. It improves with waiting.

Then the family dog, who nobody asked, did all of it. In one minute.

Hans: I was just about to do that.

By evening he told the neighbours he had delegated it.

Good delegation, he said, takes practice.
