Kumar trained three years for one video game.

Thumb stretches. Every morning. He can open a pickle jar from across the room.

Kumar: Boss, I'll be very sick on release day.

One sick day. Snacks ready. His mother thinks he joined a cult.

Midnight. He presses Start. Three years for this moment.

Kumar: I took one sick day.

It finished four days later. That was nine days ago. His one sick day is now thirteen.

Kumar: Boss... the doctor says one more level.

Mother: One more level. I've already written the sick note.
