The Ford Model T is an automobile produced from October 1, 1908, to May 26, 1927. Three engineers designed it.

Within two days after release, 15,000 orders were placed. The price dropped from $780 in 1910 to $290 in 1924.

Henry Ford conceived twenty models between 1903 and the Model T in 1908. Not all reached production. Alphabet practice.

Not every design reached the assembly line.

A front-mounted 177-cubic-inch inline four-cylinder engine produced 20 hp, reaching 42 mph. Fuel economy was 13 to 21 mpg. Thermosiphon cooling kept things adequately lukewarm.

The engine ran on gasoline but could also use kerosene or ethanol. Ethanol was just a beverage with errands.

Three floor-mounted pedals controlled the transmission. The right pedal operated the brake. Electric starting arrived in 1919.

Over 15 million sold before the Volkswagen Beetle surpassed it in 1972. They just started over with another Model A.
